his conference  focused on the characteristics of a leader and positive male role models. Join us for evening of empowerment, team building activities, entertainment, networking and refreshments.

Keynote Speaker- Derek Felton "Brilliance is your birthright"

Derek Felton is an inspirational speaker and author, as well as an ambassador for Jordan Brand’s “Represent” campaign. Through compelling yet fun workshops and keynote addresses, his words of encouragement, confidence and leadership have inspired over 30,000 students and professionals nationwide. His recently published book, Brilliance Is Your Birthright, expands on those core principles by asserting that individual greatness is not only an attainable goal, but a spiritual promise guaranteed to all human beings. In addition, his writings have been featured in activist Kevin Powell’s The Black Male Handbook: A Blueprint for Life (Atria, 2008) and the music magazine, Milk.


Presentation Title: Brilliance is Your Birthright

This presentation focused on building self-confidence and living purposefully through personal and spiritual well-being. Derek shared his personal story of growing up in Chicago, how he overcame (and continues to overcome) his failures, and how he came to discover the truth about who he is.
